16 Sept - 31 Oct 2016, Kult Gallery, Singapore | Kult Gallery presented POWER RECORDS, a group show celebrating the vibrancy of 80s music. The gallery was transformed into an 80s records store and the weeks were littered with events celebrating the golden era, from cosy acoustic sessions to vinyl record workshops.
Kult invited 23 artists from around the worlds to create a new piece of work. They were given the freedom to choose their mediums and canvases. Artwork came in the form of digital art prints, acrylic paint on wood and even spray paint on vinyl records.
For 3 Saturdays, Kult invited local musicians to perform in the gallery. The hour-long acoustic sets - called Pow Wow Sessions - united art and music lovers to the sound of Shak & The Baits, Bennett Bay and Yllis.
